The National Centre of Meteorology in the UAE issued a red alert on Tuesday as adverse weather conditions intensified across the region, prompting authorities to urge residents to exercise extreme caution.
Highlighting areas most susceptible to severe weather, the authorities utilized a color-coded system, with orange alert zones signifying heightened vigilance and yellow alert zones indicating a potential for milder conditions.
Thunderous roars and relentless lightning accompanied heavy rainfall that pummeled the UAE late Monday night into Tuesday, disrupting daily routines for residents.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts continued instability from Monday through Wednesday, attributing the turbulent weather to the extension of low surface pressure and the passage of two waves of unstable weather across the nation.
In response to the escalating weather conditions, government employees across the UAE have been instructed to work remotely on Wednesday. This directive extends to private school students in Dubai, where the remote learning period has been prolonged in light of the inclement weather. Private sector companies have also been advised to facilitate remote work arrangements for their employees.
Similarly, federal employees in Sharjah have been mandated to work from home on Wednesday as a precautionary measure.
Both public and private schools in Dubai and Sharjah will transition to online classes on Wednesday to ensure the safety and well-being of students amidst the hazardous weather conditions.
