TikTok creator Jen Barangan has issued an apology after receiving backlash for her behavior during Olivia Rodrigo’s recent concert in the Philippines.
Barangan, a former flight attendant, faced criticism online for using her phone’s camera flash while filming herself during the concert, which violated the event’s “no flash photography” rule. In response to the uproar, she posted an apology on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, stating, “To everyone, I’m so sorry for my actions.”
Her TikTok video, now viewed over 3.6 million times, sparked debate among concertgoers and fans. The incident occurred during Olivia Rodrigo’s sold-out performance in Manila, which drew a crowd of more than 50,000 Filipino fans, known as Livies. Several celebrities were also spotted at the concert, including Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, and their daughter Zia, along with Vicki Belo, Hayden Kho, and Radson Flores.
Despite the controversy, the concert marked a historic moment for Rodrigo’s fans, as it was her first live performance in the Philippines.
