MANILA, Philippines — Jennylyn Mercado has silenced speculations about her potential network transfer by renewing her contract with GMA-7, a network she has called home since her rise to fame in 2003 as the first-ever “Starstruck” champion.
After being absent from GMA-7’s station ID last July, rumors swirled about her departure. However, on January 21, the actress-singer officially put those rumors to rest. “I am here. I am back. I am home. Kapuso pa rin, at taos-puso po tayong nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng mga tumulong sa akin, sa GMA sa patuloy na pagmamahal at pagtanggap sa akin,” she said during the contract signing.

Jennylyn has now been with the Kapuso network for over 20 years, solidifying her legacy as one of its most enduring stars.
Following the success of her and husband Dennis Trillo’s 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture-winning film Green Bones, which they co-produced under their company Brightburn Entertainment with GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, the couple is gearing up for another cinematic milestone.
Their Valentine movie, Everything About My Wife, is slated for release on February 26. The trailer, which dropped recently, teases a layered love story between Dom (Dennis) and Imo (Jennylyn), a couple navigating the ups and downs of their marriage as they approach the infamous “seven-year itch.”
Sam Milby joins the cast as Miguel, a character whose arrival poses a challenge to Dom and Imo’s relationship.
Directed by Real S. Florido, Everything About My Wife is a collaborative project between CreaZion Studios, GMA Pictures, and Glimmer Studios.
With her renewed contract and a string of projects lined up, Jennylyn Mercado continues to thrive as one of GMA-7’s most celebrated talents.
