Eros: The Greek God of Passionate Love
In Greek mythology, Eros was the god of romantic desire and attraction, often depicted as a handsome young man rather than a child. He was the son of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and had the power to make mortals and gods fall deeply in love with a single shot of his golden arrows.

The Romans later adopted Eros into their mythology, renaming him Cupid (from Cupido, meaning “desire”). Over time, he was reimagined as a playful, chubby-winged boy who mischievously shot arrows to make people fall in love. His legend became popular in art, poetry, and eventually as a symbol of Valentine’s Day.
