MANILA, Philippines — ABS-CBN’s talent arm Star Magic has officially confirmed that actors Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have ended their relationship.

In a statement released by the agency, Star Magic said the two “have mutually decided to end their relationship,” urging the public to respect their choice. “We request the public to respect their decision and refrain from spreading false narratives,” it added.

As of press time, neither Anderson nor Barretto has made any post regarding the breakup on their personal social media accounts.

The pair went public with their romance in 2021 after years of speculation and dating rumors that often made headlines.

Speculation of the split intensified last week when showbiz host Ogie Diaz, citing a source, claimed that Anderson was still trying to pursue Barretto, but the actress was no longer interested in continuing the relationship.
